Knowledge and understanding helps Community members to notice the value of Nature and their responsibility to protect it.
In Gongo village, between 10 - 15 households work to produce charcoal, with each cutting an average of 21 trees per month. The main threat though is coming from traders outside this village who transport hundreds of bags of charcoal every day from the village's surrounding forest.
